Construction of New Water Tower

A new water tower is being constructed on Clover Valley Road near the Intel site. This new water tower will serve the New Albany International Business Park and ensure the City of New Albany can meet the water demands of the expanding area.

The nearly 200-foot tower for the water tank is complete. Crews are currently assembling the water tank near the base of the tower. When the tank is done in mid-September, it will be hoisted to the top of the tower. While it will take just one day to raise the tank into place, securing it to the tower will take several weeks. Painting of both the tower and the tank is scheduled for next spring.

The water tower, which will hold 2 million gallons of water, is expected to be operational by the fourth quarter of 2025.
